Jackson's 5th Birthday Party

Jackson's 5th party was so much fun. We had a superhero themed party with Batman and Spiderman decorations. The bad guys --- The Joker (Dad), The Green Goblin (Grandpa) and Dr. Octopus (Uncle Scott) --- had stolen the treasure chest and it was the superheros' job to recover the treasure and trap the bad guys. The Sherriff (PaPa) loaded the superheros up in the Batmobile to solve the crime!

Jackson is telling me a big plan before we get started

These two probably need to be watched closely by The Sherriff

Everyone is loaded behind the Batmobile to find the treasure and bad guys

The Brother-Sister Bat Duo look pretty tough!

I got to ride with The Sherriff

It was an ambush! We saw the treasure chest but when we got off of the Batmobile to get it, they attacked from everywhere!

Oh no! The Green Goblin!

The Joker gets a little web shot from Spidey!

Spiderman vs. Dr. Octopus
We captured The Joker

We tied the bad guys up to the back of the Batmobile and took off

Captured!
Just a little more fighting before we were through with these bad guys!

Priceless

Finally time for cake!
Jackson could not decide between Batman and Spiderman, so we had both.

Happy 5th Birthday Jackson

I have to interrupt my tax season blogging hiatus for a very important event -- my baby boy is turning 5! Can you believe it? It seems to be hitting me especially hard this year that he is growing up so fast. I guess 5 is a pretty big deal and I am not just completely crazy. He also had is first t-ball game tonight, which seems to be a big grown-up step for boys. So the first t-ball game on the eve of his 5th birthday seems to be pretty hard on mom! I am so happy and thankful that he is such a big, healthy, wonderful kid, but ........ my baby is 5!!!!!!!
